Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the website at www.7dna.in or any of our associated platforms, including Research Decode and NeuroSignature (collectively, the "Services"), operated by 7DNA Analytica Pvt. Ltd. ("7DNA", "we", "us" or "our").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and 7DNA Analytica Pvt. Ltd. Your continued use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any updates to them. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, with changes effective on posting to this page.

2. Description of Services

7DNA Analytica provides:

  • An informational website describing our R&D services and platforms
  • Research Decode, a platform for research collaboration, scientist discovery and scientific services
  • NeuroSignature, a platform for brain connectivity analysis from neuroimaging data
  • R&D and analysis services provided under separate service agreements

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

Some Services require registration. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current registration information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at hello@7dna.in if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account or use our Services.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Services in any way that violates applicable Indian law or international law
  • Upload, transmit or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, harmful, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or related systems
  • Use automated bots, scrapers or other tools to access or collect data from the Services without our written consent
  • Upload research data belonging to others without appropriate authorisation
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation
  • Use the Services to send unsolicited communications

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content on the website and Services, including text, graphics, logos, software, platform code, trade marks, and research reports generated by our tools, is owned by or licensed to 7DNA Analytica Pvt. Ltd. and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, modify or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except as permitted by applicable fair use provisions.

5.2 Your Content

Data and files you upload to our platforms (e.g., connectivity matrices uploaded to NeuroSignature) remain your property. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely to deliver the requested service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and do not use it for any other purpose.

5.3 Research Decode Content

Content you post on Research Decode (research challenges, profiles, service listings) is owned by you. By posting, you grant 7DNA a licence to display that content on the platform for other registered users. You represent that you have the right to post such content.

6. R&D and Service Agreements

Where you engage 7DNA Analytica for R&D or analysis services, those engagements are governed by a separate service agreement or statement of work. These Terms apply to general website and platform use; the service agreement governs deliverables, confidentiality, intellectual property in outputs and payment terms for commissioned work.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 7DNA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In particular:

  • Computational results from our platforms (including NeuroSignature) are provided for research purposes only and are not intended as medical advice, clinical diagnoses or regulatory submissions.
  • Research Decode is a platform for connecting researchers; 7DNA does not independently verify the credentials, qualifications or claims of any user.
  • We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 7DNA ANALYTICA PVT. LTD. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR INR 1,000 (WHICHEVER IS GREATER).

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (including PubMed, RCSB PDB, GitHub and other scientific resources). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of those sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. We encourage you to contact us at hello@7dna.in to resolve any disputes informally before initiating formal proceedings.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@7dna.in. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law survive termination.
